Forest Caper improved for the fitting of a hood last time, staying on well from the back to be beaten just three-quarters of a length over course and distance. He had plenty to do that day, so he can have the effort marked up, and this slightly easier ground can see him notch a first win.

Something Splendid (1.55 Doncaster)

Something Splendid has improved for some ease in the ground, winning at Newmarket in July before looking unlucky not to follow up at Sandown last time, going down by a nose having been checked in his run. A 3lb rise may underestimate him.

Jer Batt (4.40 Doncaster)

Jer Batt can have a line put through his last run, as nothing got involved behind a front-running winner, and the return to this track should suit, given his career-best RPR came here in October. He looks well treated off a mark 3lb lower than then.
