Paggane (1.32 Carlisle)

Paggane had a couple of respectable runs on the Flat since joining Faye Bramley before going down by just a neck in the Silver Trophy Handicap Hurdle on her return to jumps at Chepstow this month. Her improvement for Willie Mullins came over longer trips, but she proved she had the speed for this distance last time and should be suited by the return to fences, given she was Grade 2-placed in this discipline last season.

Siog Geal (2.02 Carlisle)

Siog Geal ran into a couple of good mares after beating a subsequent three-time winner on her hurdling debut and proved to be well treated off a mark of 116 when landing a Grade 2 handicap at Newbury in March. She looked value for more than the half-length margin, given she had a wide trip and wandered around in front, and should rate plenty higher still.

Dunnet Head (3.47 Carlisle)

Dunnet Head ended last season on a low note, but his record when fresh at this meeting includes victory in this race two years ago and a head defeat in the earlier 2m4f handicap hurdle last season. He's 2lb below his last winning mark and will be suited by some cut underfoot.
