The Punt Acca: Robbie Wilders' three horse racing tips on Friday

Ravenscraig Castle (2.40 Musselburgh)

This is a trappy 1m6f handicap and Ravenscraig Castle might be able to reverse form with Dark Jedi and Happy on these terms. Ravenscraig Castle was beaten narrowly by Dark Jedi and Happy when fourth at Ayr two starts back and has fallen in the weights after finding 1m4f too sharp at Haydock last time. These are his optimum conditions and he remains relatively unexposed, so looks fair value to earn a first success of the season.

Erosandpsyche(5.35 Tipperary)

Paddy Twomey has an exceptional record with new recruits and he conjured a first victory out of Erosandpsyche at the third time of asking in a premier handicap at Cork last time. The four-year-old can be marked up for that success as he raced alone on the unfavoured far side from stall one and holds the reopposing Moss Tucker on that form. Two from three over five furlongs at Tipperary, Erosandpsyche is weighted to land this conditions race and should possess too much speed.

Achnamara(7.10 Newmarket)

Giavellotto has been inserted as the short-priced favourite for the 1m6f handicap at Newmarket but I'm not sure that's correct given Achnamara, who had a half a length in hand when the pair met at Doncaster in June, reopposes off 7lb better terms. Giavellotto has improved since but that progression came on soft ground and Achnamara might be more at home on these quick conditions. My selection has had excuses recently and is the only front-runner in the field, so it easy to imagine him picking up a soft lead here.
