The Punt Acca: Robbie Wilders' horse racing tips at Haydock on Saturday
Hello Jumeirah (2.05 Haydock)
A wide-open three-year-old handicap but Hello Jumeirah makes some appeal and should be comfortable over this 1m6f trip. Hello Jumeirah was tested in the Cheshire Oaks on just her second run after making a winning debut but found that company a little too hot. She showed up well for a long away in a course novice under a penalty next time when second to Taghrooda's brother Almuhit, and looks to have been allotted a decent mark of 84 for her handicap debut.
Stay Alert(2.40 Haydock)
Free Wind looks a favourite to oppose on her seasonal return in the Lancashire Oaks and race-fit three-year-old Stay Alert, who receives 12lb from the older fillies and mares, is the selection. Stay Alert ran a screamer when second to subsequent Classic heroine Nashwa a couple of starts back and promises to relish the return to 1m4f as a half-sister to smart stayer Stag Horn. Testing ground could also bring out further improvement for this lightly raced type.
Secret Shadow (3.15 Haydock)
Old Newton Cup favourite Gaassee is Group 1-entered and could be better than a handicapper. However, the form of his comeback success at York isn't working out and I'd rather take him on at the prices. Bottomweight Secret Shadow is a viable alternative as she loves testing ground, is progressing all the time and can be expected to take another step forward for her good seasonal return at Goodwood. That she stays 1m6f is another plus in these conditions over this 1m4f distance.
