Returning to the mile for the first time since June 2020, the John Gallagher-trained five-year-old bolted up over course and distance seven days ago. It is no surprise to see him turned out quickly and he is 3lb well in under a penalty. This race is no tougher, on paper, and he remains well-handicapped on past form. If he can replicate that effort, he will be very difficult to beat in this contest.

Marlay Park(7.40 Epsom)

With form figures of 22132 at Epsom, it is fair to say that Marlay Park loves the course. He was returning from a 54-day break when second over course and distance last month, unable to recover from a slow start. Placed off a 2lb higher rating last September, he is more than capable off this sort of rating and provided he can break on terms, he should get the pace he needs to pounce late under Hector Crouch.

Midnight Jewel(8.55 Worcester)

Charlie Longsdon has his string in excellent form and Midnight Jewel has a good chance of making a winning return. He was progressive when last seen in October, posting a clear career-best two starts ago when scoring at Huntingdon. He has run well fresh in the past and all his best efforts have come when good is in the going description. He will benefit from Lilly Pinchin's 3lb claim and a good gallop should ensure a big run from this gelding.
