The Punt Acca: Owen Goulding's three horse racing tips on Sunday

Fox Hill (2.00 Hamilton)

A winner at Nottingham in June, Fox Hill posted her best effort since when fourth at Redcar on Tuesday. She was in the process of rallying gamely but had her path blocked in the closing stages when she was set to play a hand in the finish. Her mark is left unchanged and she now has her ideal soft surface. Both times she has been fitted with headgear previously she has won, and that makes her very interesting with the blinkers being put on by trainer Eric Alston.

Thibault(3.20 Plumpton)

Thibault was in great form when last seen over hurdles, winning by seven lengths in a 2m4½f course handicap in May. He has run twice on the Flat at Epsom in recent weeks, running a big race to finish second in the Amateur Derby before being unsuited by heavy ground last time. He should be in peak fitness on the back of those runs and he can overcome the drop back in trip with Ben Ffrench Davis claiming 7lb.

Captain Corcoran(3.30 Hamilton)

A non factor in two starts in the spring, Captain Corcoran was subject of strong market support when third at Catterick in August. That was a much-improved effort off a reduced mark, doing best of those from a low draw, and despite a 1lb rise he is still 9lb below his last winning rating. Both his wins have come on soft ground and everything looks to have fallen perfectly for him.
