The Punt Acca: Mark Boylan's three horse racing tips on Sunday

Grand Soir (1.55 Cork)

A confidence-boosting win last time at Kilbeggan should set this John McConnell-trained youngster up nicely for tackling an open 3m novice hurdle. Rated 121, he has the potential to be a far deal better than that given his unexposed profile, and he's a proven stayer for a stamina test such as this.

Yaxeni (3.30 Cork)

Conditions are expected to be testing at Naas, and that should be right up this classy mare's street in the Listed Bluebell Stakes. A line can be drawn through her latest effort in the revamped €600,000 Irish Cesarewitch when delivering her challenge too early considering how the race unfolded. Reverting to a more suitable 1m4f as the highest-rated runner in the line-up, she should take plenty of beating despite having to carry a 3lb Listed penalty.

Alabama Pearl (4.40 Naas)

Johnny Murtagh has been dominant in Irish nurseries this season and can land this tasty €30,000 pot with an appealing handicap debutante. A mark of 77 looks pretty fair about this recent 7f maiden runner-up and cheekpieces are now fitted for the first time as she drops back to 6f. She stands out as being largely unexposed for a nursery of this nature.
