The Punt Acca: Mark Boylan's three horse racing tips on Monday

Dusty Winds (2.40 Dundalk)

There was enough promise in the selection's recent return from a mini-break at Gowran to suggest he could be up to making a splash off 4lb lower if sharpening up for the application of first-time cheekpieces. He's only made three appearances at Dundalk before and there isn't enough evidence to suggest this surface is an issue, yet he competes off a lower mark. It would be interesting to see if connections try a change of tactics given the new headgear and his handy draw, but regardless, he'll probably represent value for a capable stable.

Isle Of Sark (4.40 Dundalk)

It seems as though this Kitten's Joy gelding is a better operator on all-weather than turf, and he must have a big say in this €50,000 handicap if bouncing back to his best on the artificial surface. He didn't run all that badly when beaten four and three quarters of a length in a competitive Curragh affair last time in which Galway festival heroine Magic Chegaga was second. He might be able to make his class count back on the all-weather in what looks a below-par running of this event. Promising 5lb claimer Jake Coen knows him well and keeps the ride.

Verhoyen (7.30 Roscommon)

Considering he didn't quite ping the gates as the stalls opened last time and was racing over a trip further than his best, proven handicap stalwart Verhoyen probably ran a quite creditable race to finish seventh in the Colm Quinn BMW Mile at Galway. Dropping in trip and class here - with a 7lb claimer booked to ease his burden of 10st 5lb - he looks a lively player if delivering his 'A' game. He is taken to continue a pretty encouraging string of runs this season.
