The Laura Morgan-trained seven-year-old has yet to get off the mark in his chasing career, but this is a big opportunity for him to do just that. Despite the majority of his success coming on the Flat, he scored over course and distance last season and followed that up with victory over 3m at Huntingdon, proving this distance won't be an issue. That was during his time with Caroline Bailey, but he's looked lively since joining Morgan's yard and 21 of the trainer's career wins have come at this track.

Rocco Storm (2.55 Sedgefield)

Trainer Danny Brooke is enjoying his strongest jumps campaign and his seven-year-old Rocco Storm can add to that success. The son of Shirocco showed his stamina when scoring over course and distance last time out. He recorded a career-best Racing Post Rating of 101 that day and if jockey Henry Brooke can get another good tune out of him, then he should be in with a big chance.

Sister Michael (3.05 Southwell)

In-form Fergal O'Brien sends his six-year-old back to the scene of his only career win. His win here in May was followed by a disappointing run in a handicap hurdle at Ffos Las. That was put behind him on his seasonal reappearance at Wetherby, where he was unlucky to lose out by a neck. He travelled well under Connor Brace, who gets the ride again, and he should come on from that run to go one better.
