Step Back (12.40 Sandown)

A regular threat around here, Step Back arrives 16lb lower than for his last win, which was over course and distance on good ground. He has plenty of back class having landed the bet365 Gold Cup by 13 lengths in 2018 and has form figures of 31314 in completed starts at this track. He has won after a long break, is no doubt well handicapped if finding any sort of form and his trainer saddled a winner on Wednesday.

Blenkinsop(1.25 Exeter)

2-2 since switching to handicaps and the horse he beat at Ludlow last month won at Catterick on Monday to boost the form. The penalty for a win at Southwell last time may not be enough to prevent Henry Daly's five-year-old from completing the hat-trick.

Henri The Second (2.20 Sandown)

The Grade 2 Ballymore Winter Novices' Hurdle was won by Enrilo in 2019 and the same connections have his half-brother Henri The Second here. The Listed bumper winner finished runner-up on his hurdling debut with a mistake three out costing him dearly, but he rallied and was closing all the way to the line. He was well fancied that day, will no doubt come on for the run and it is interesting that Paul Nicholls is willing to tackle this Graded event despite Henri The Second not obliging first time out.
