Finished second in two bumpers with the winners of those two events going on to contested Listed races, so clearly clashed with some above average sorts. Sneaks into this race of what could be a potentially generous opening mark of 54 after three runs without hitting the frame on the all-weather, and he could get off the mark on his handicap debut.

Aberama Gold (4.35 Southwell)

Back down to his last winning mark and, although he is better on the turf, the Keith Dalgleish-trained five-year-old has won on the Tapeta off a rating of 101 before, some 16lb higher than what he runs off here. The gelding was fourth in a strong event at Wolverhampton last time, with the second winning since, and is reunited with Billy Garritty, who steered him to his last success at Ayr in October.
