The Punt Acca: Charlie Huggins' three horse racing tips at Doncaster on Tuesday
Issuing Authority (12.45 Doncaster)
Bumper winner who was second behind subsequent Grade 1 Challow Novices' Hurdle fourth Passing Well on his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter in November. Although again beaten when sent off the favourite at Hereford last time, the Nicky Henderson-trained six-year-old was part of a bunched finish of three horses who pulled 18 lengths clear of the fourth. Issuing Authority was only half a length behind the winner Heezer Geezer, who is rated 129, and a repeat of that performance in this weaker event should see the son of Flemensfirth make it third-time lucky over hurdles.
Ballyglass (1.15 Doncaster)
Faced a tough task when upped to Listed company at Haydock last time in a race won by Tolworth Novices' Hurdle winner Tahmuras. The Toby Lawes-trained six-year-old was no match for the subsequent Grade 1 winner but was only four lengths behind the third Snake Roll, who bolted up on Boxing Day. James Bowen has a 30 per cent strike-rate when riding for Lawes, including two wins from five rides this season, and can help Ballyglass shoulder his penalty for making winning hurdling debut under Tom O'Brien at Uttoxeter in October.
Midnight Glance (2.25 Doncaster)
Has a habit of bumping into some seriously progressive rivals including when second to Certainly Red at Wincanton last time. Although beaten a long way, the winner demonstrated the strength of the form when comfortably following up off a 5lb higher mark at Sandown on Saturday. Before his victory at Exeter in November, Midnight Glance was third behind the now 138-rated Tea For Three, who completed a four-timer on New Year's Eve. The fourth and fifth from that Uttoxeter race have won a combined three races since, so the form looks solid. Dropped 2lb for his last run, Midnight Glance could still be well treated off 108.
