The Evening Punt: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Wednesday

BANKER

Punctuation(6.30 Kempton)

Attractive three-year-old colt who was bred in the purple (by Dansili out of a Galileo mare) and made a highly promising debut when second over this course and distance in January. Beaten by a rival with two runs to his name that day and inexperience probably cost him, especially given he would have won in a couple more strides. Form of that contest was boosted when the fourth won by ten lengths next time and this looks an easier race. Should go one better under Silvestre de Sousa.

DARK HORSE

Mr Mac(8.00 Kempton)

Peter Hedger's son of Makfi isn't the easiest of rides as he often takes a keen hold early in his race and doesn't do much when hitting the front, but he has a good turn of foot when asked and is well suited to this track. The six-year-old last three wins have come over a mile but he was impressive over this course and distance when coming home a decisive winner in December 2017 and has had valid excuses on his two starts at Kempton this season. Mr Mac has fallen 11lb down the ratings since last Spring and is back to the level at which he proved dangerous. Expect him to go very close.
