The Evening Punt: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Tuesday

BANKER

(7.40 Kempton)

A talented but keen-going performer who will have a huge chance of backing up a recent course-and-distance victory if he is able to settle in the early stages. That's the key to this son of Lope De Vega, who got into a lovely rhythm out the back of the field when last seen before storming home for a comfortable victory. He is clearly well handicapped off just 5lb higher, especially given the form has worked out well, and providing there is some kind of early gallop, he should slot in from stall ten and come home with a rush to reward favourite backers.

EYECATCHER

(7.10 Kempton)

This looks quite a tight-knit fillies' handicap and the price on offer for favourite Dubrava, who is unproven over a mile and has a 5lb penalty to deal with, is on the short side, so it's worth looking elsewhere. Andrew Balding does well with his runners here and it's interesting to see Oisin Murphy booked aboard his unexposed filly Havana Jane. An easy winner of a Wolverhampton novice when last seen from the front, Havana Jane is open to plenty of improvement after her confidence-boosting victory and should appreciate a tow into the race, rather than having to make the pace herself. Her opening mark of 66 looks fair and she should improve for the step up in trip based on her pedigree.
