Paul D'Arcy's gelding has looked a different horse since entering handicap company and backed up an impressive Southwell victory with a second over this course and distance when last seen, running on well despite a wide trip behind a well-handicapped horse. He did well to take the runner-up spot on that given everything that went wrong and should get a better run through this time around from stall six. This also looks a much easier race (winner was an unexposed Godolphin filly) and Sophar Sogood has to go close off a 1lb higher mark.

With Richard Hughes' Swinley heading the market at 5-4 for this nursery, there is plenty of value in finding a horse to get into the frame and although Silver Start is forecast joint favourite, I wouldn't expect him to go off any shorter than 13-2 – thus still rating a good each-way bet. Charlie Hills' grey filly hasn't yet made the expected improvement since her emphatic debut success at Bath, but she has been given a couple of tough tasks along the way and a repeat of her third-placed finish at Chepstow on her penultimate outing should see her grab a place here.
