Following two defeats to kickstart his career, Island Storm lost his maiden tag over this course and distance with a ready length success back in September before hating the soft ground at Nottingham on nursery debut. He's been given a break since that effort 44 days ago and looks well handicapped off a mark of 74 now back at Newcastle.

A high draw in big-field sprint handicaps is a definite plus at Newcastle and that is one of many factors why Klopp should run a huge race at double-figure odds in the 6f contest to close the card. Antony Brittain's filly, who has twice won over the minimum trip here, has dropped to a mark 1lb lower than when last successful and returned from a 114-day break to finish a luckless fourth here earlier this month. She would have won that day given a clear run and the handicapper has been lenient to drop her 1lb.
