A daughter of Poet's Voice who didn't make her debut until September last year, Qaseeda took a marked drift in the betting having opened up a clear second favourite but stayed on takingly to finish a good second behind a rival with previous experience. She was then sent off favourite on her next start here in November but couldn't get on terms over 6f and was hinting that a step up in trip would see her in a better light. She got that last time over a furlong further and ran reasonably well despite hanging to take third. It might have been that the handicap and nursery route was the plan all along and she has to be considered in that sphere now tackling easier company in a 0-70 tonight.
