This Gale Force Ten gelding is winless in six starts but was well fancied in the market when he ran over a mile here in April (last start for Robert Cowell) and caught the eye with a strong-staying effort to take fourth. He was then gelded and switched yards before returning with a creditable third at Wolverhampton over 1m½f. He was sent off 11-4 that day, which is short for a returning Fanshawe handicapper, and the form of the race has been boosted with the winner scoring since. Now sent over a staying trip for the first time, Hooflepuff looks sure to go close.
