Although he will be a short price, Mofaaji is the banker of the evening in what looks a match race with a horse he has tackled before. The market has it as a head-to-head between Simon Crisford's runner and Grisons, who came out on top when they met on their respective debuts at Windsor. Grisons hasn't progressed since that run, though, and has disappointed me on his last two outings, running like a horse who doesn't really know his job and isn't putting it all in. Mofaaji, on the other hand, was well supported on his first start (sent off evens) but was extremely coltish in the preliminaries and during the race and clearly had his mind elsewhere. He has been gelded since and can put up a much improved display.
