Joseph O'Brien's only runner in Britain today, Grandmaster Flash boasts a steadily improving profile and although he has only recorded one victory from ten starts, he was unlucky not to win last time out and is open to further progression over proper staying trips. He was only narrowly denied over 2m at Dundalk after making a strong move to hit the front in the straight, and the slight drop in trip should help him. His only previous run in Britain came at Kempton in October, where he finished a well-beaten second of four behind El Misk. However, that rates one of the best pieces of form in this race and the fact Declan McDonogh is coming over is interesting.
