Had a spell in Bahrain over the winter and went off 13-8 favourite to make a winning return in Britain at Kempton in March but not a lot went right and, after a slow start, he finished only fifth of eight.

That run was better than it looks on paper, though. King's Knight made up a lot of ground to get to second entering the final furlong and lost several places near the finish.

King's Knight is 2lb lower than when second in a hot Class 2 handicap at Chelmsford in August and, if he can repeat that sort of form here, he should win.
