The Big Bite lands some tasty bets

It took The Big Bite ages to find his stride in the bumper at Lingfield –he had only one rival behind turning into the short home straight – but once he did he picked up impressively and shot well clear to win going away after trading at 280 in running on Betfair.

Hogan's Height was backed down to 1.07 when a few lengths clear after two out in the maiden hurdle at Lingfield. However, he had duelled with a rival from a long way out and was worn down on the run-in by King Uther, who was matched at 100.

More than £9,900 was traded at 1.01 on Specialist in the 1m1f maiden at Wolverhampton, but he could not get past Enfolding, who rallied gamely when his rival drew alongside.
