This seven-year-old has the best form in this race and it's just a question of whether he will be ready to go on his return from a 303-day absence. If he is fit enough, he should be difficult to beat.

He showed his liking for this track when easily beating the useful chaser Sebastopol over course and distance last June and his last run in a red-hot contest at Sandown looks strong form. He was beaten only by Pileon and The Cob, and he finished ahead of Al Dancer. All of those had all competed in better races at some point in their careers.
