The all-jumping card at Cork this afternoon is the venue for the Sunday Pick 6 instead of a more attractive card at Naas, and the weather looks the key to this as an inordinate amount of rain could lead to plenty of withdrawals as horses were declared to run on ground which had firm in its description.
The opening maiden hurdle (1.50) isn't the most competitive and hopefully it can be limited to recent Clonmel runner-up Light That, and with Ruby Walsh booked to ride the Gordon Elliott-trained Rock Lobster, he is preferred to the expensive to follow Creative Talent.
A decent novice hurdle (2.20) follows and it is hard to be too definitive. However, it looks safe enough to narrow it down to Gordon Elliott's Gowran maiden hurdle winner Blood Crazed Tiger and the Joseph O'Brien-trained Oathkeeper if his recent fall at Listowel has not left a mark.
