Angels Breath has a huge reputation despite jumping just four flights of hurdles in public. High winds meant jumping in a Grade 2 novice hurdle at Ascot last time out was limited after two hurdles in the home straight, but he did what he had to do in style. His 5lb penalty has been defied just once in the past decade and that was by Irving for his victory in the Kennel Gate. Interestingly, Nicky Henderson won this with Flown – one of his eight victories – in 1992 on his hurdling debut before he went on to win the Supreme.

Brecon Hill likes a flat, right-handed course on good ground. The form of his Huntingdon form has worked out, although that of his Leicester victory could do with a boost.
