Take A Deep Breath can put her sire one up on Frankel

FRANKEL has rightly earned all the plaudits for his remarkable start as a sire, but another stallion standing at Banstead Manor for Juddmonte Farms, Bated Breath, has also kicked off his new career in promising fashion, particularly considering what he has had to work with compared to his illustrious neighbour, who stands at more than ten times the price.

Several of Frankel's winners have been out of mares successful in Group company themselves but Bated Breath might just beat him to the punch with his offspring by landing a first Group prize with a filly out of a mare who never won at all.

Fatal Attraction raced just six times for Rae Guest, earning a top Racing Post Rating of just 59, but she has produced three winners from four foals and might have foaled a star in the shape of Take A Deep Breath, who runs in the Group 3 Jockey Club of Turkey Silver Flash Stakes (7.00) at Leopardstown tonight.
