Take a chance on well-treated sprinter back at his favourite track

Sharp Defence didn't show a great deal in Dubai and has been off the track since March. However, he has dropped to the same mark as when hacking up over course and distance last season and there are a few reasons why he might bounce back to that level of form in the Heineken UK Scottish Stewards' Cup Handicap at Hamilton (7.20).
To start with, he goes well fresh so his absence is no issue. But, more importantly, he has been gelded and undergone a wind operation since last seen. That could be construed as a negative but they could also spark him back to life and, with his trainer having had a winner at the track yesterday, he is well worth chancing at a massive price.
