Take a chance on chaser bouncing back after break on favourite course

Credit: Alan Crowhurst

No. 4
Wiesentraum
3.40 Fakenham
Back each-way 14-1 generallyThis is about as risky a proposition as you can get as Wiesentraum has seemingly lost his way big time, but the result is a mark 17lb lower than at the start of the season and 25lb lower than his peak and if he is going to run well again it will be at Fakenham.

Now down to mark of just 118, Wiesentraum, who runs all his best races for Leighton Aspell, has won two of his five starts at the track and was beaten a head in another, and one of those wins came off a mark of 137.

There wasn't any promise in his two outings before Christmas, but Lucy Wadham, who has a good record here, evidently thinks he is worth persevering with and if he is better after another break he could surprise a few. As he's a 14-1 shot, I'll take my chances.
