Sweetspots: Newt to leave the layers taking a deep breath
Richard Fahey operates at a 60 per cent strike-rate when combining with Ryan Moore at Newmarket on the July course (form figures of 22111). They join forces with Maybride in the 4.05.
Sir Mark Prescott’s strike-rate improves from 20 per cent to 30 per cent with horses travelling more than 200 miles. Newt (4.50) is his only runner at Carlisle and there should be a lot more to come from this filly in first-time cheekpieces.

Tapis Libre goes again in the 7.45 at Epsom, a race the gelding has won twice. The only runner to have scored at the course, his victory last time at York came in a stronger race and he can prevail again.
Onorina has yet to win going right-handed, whereas her record left-handed is 3-8. She runs in the 8.05 at Newbury, having won over course and distance off a 1lb higher mark, and returning to a left-handed track should see her in a better light.
