Trainer Amanda Perrett usually does well when fitting her horses with headgear for the first time (25 per cent) and she’s going down that route with Tapdancealltheway in the 4.55 at Salisbury.

Trainer Mick Quinn does well with his handicap debutants (33 per cent) and Princess Harley has her first run in that sphere in the 5.10 at Newmarket. Disappointing last time, she improved a lot for her first run last year and can do so again.

It usually pays to follow Donald McCain and Will Kennedy when they team up at Perth (47 per cent) and they do so today with Fit For Fifty in the 5.15. He has shown hints of ability despite his unencouraging record, and could get off the mark, especially considering he is Kennedy’s sole ride on the card.
