Sweetspots: Doorman holds key to success for backers on swift return

Paul Nicholls has a 26 per cent strike-rate at Warwick and that increases to 41 per cent with Sam Twiston-Davies on board. They team up in the 3.10 with former course winner El Bandit.

Ben Haslam has a 60 per cent strike-rate with winners reappearing within seven days. Eight-year-old gelding The Doorman (3.20 Sedgefield) won at Carlisle last week.

Adrian Heskin has a 38 per cent strike-rate at Southwell and that increases to 63 per cent with Tom George. They team up in the 6.00 with course winner Minella Aris, who makes his handicap debut.

Neil Mulholland has a 31 per cent strike-rate over the past fortnight and a 25 per cent strike-rate with horses running for the first time since being gelded. He saddles American Patrol (8.10 Chepstow).
