Sweetspots: Clown can start the party for Skelton at Southwell

Credit: Harry Trump

Dan Skelton is a trainer to keep on your side when applying a first-time tongue-tie. I’ll Be Your Clown runs in the 3.25 at Southwell and can add to the trainer’s impressive 21 per cent strike-rate.

Philip Hobbs and Tom O’Brien are a combination to follow when teaming up. They join forces with ten-year-old Danandy in the 4.20 at Stratford and he looks sure to go close to adding to the duo’s 37 per cent strike-rate.

Richard Newland is a trainer to have struck form in the last fortnight, sending out four winners from five runners. He saddles three today and Mauricio, in the 2.10 at Stratford, looks to be his best chance.
