Sunday bets: our experts provide their best selections to end the week

Credit: Jon Winter

Handicappers' nap

Amplify (3.15 Windsor)

Showed good speed to win Salisbury maiden over 6f last time and looks a potential improver now dropped back in trip for first time since debut.

Newmarket nap

Le Maharajah (5.35 Windsor)

Just run out of it over this trip at Yarmouth last time, but Tom Clover's four-year-old should be suited by going around these bends and has moved well on Warren Hill of late.
David Milnes

Eyecatcher

Broad Appeal (5.35 Windsor)

Didn't get the best of trips when a close-up fourth over 1m3½f here two weeks ago and, able to race off the same mark, he can quickly get back to winning ways.
Raceform

Our analysts from Raceform find eyecatchers at all meetings in the UK and Ireland, every day. Essential subscribers can read their expert view on every race

Ace Tipster

Tinto (2.10 Windsor)

Tinto really needs to be dropped back to 5f, but may be worth risking given the rattling quick conditions having travelled better than anything in a stronger race at Newmarket last time.
Pietro Innocenzi

Speed figures

Headman (4.35 Saint-Cloud)

Landed a valuable Newbury handicap under top weight six weeks ago and the figures suggest he can take this step up to Group company in his stride.
Dave Edwards

Spotlights nap

Beau Sancy (4.15 Cartmel)

Record of 4-6 since joining Olly Murphy and may have even more to offer for this stable. 4-4 on good/faster over fences, was impressive at Kelso on return from five-month layoff last time, looks worth the 12lb rise and has to be respected.

Dark horse

Theclockisticking (4.05 Uttoxeter)

Ran with credit at the Cheltenham and Aintree festivals over hurdles last season before making a costly blunder when returning to fences last time. He's still unexposed in this sphere after just three starts and a better round of jumping could see him go well.
Ben Harris

Must-have stat of the day

Tonto's Spirit is 3-4 at Cartmel, improving to 3-3 when the going description does not contain the word soft (+£35.38 to £1 level stakes). The seven-year-old runs at 2.35.
