Final Assault lost his form last year after just not failing to stay 3m in the Rehearsal Chase at this track, but he has returned in fine fettle and has everything in his favour, not least a tasty handicap mark.

He was quite an eyecatcher on his opening start of this campaign when given a lot to do and second behind Indian Temple at Ayr and he duly improved next time at Newbury's Hennessy meeting when fourth in a field of 16.
