1pt winThere are three reasonably well known chasers making their reappearances over hurdles in the Weatherbys Racing Bank Handicap Hurdle (3.50) at Uttoxeter and it's possible to make a case for any given they have lower handicap marks in this sphere.
However, gone are the days when the handicapper used to leave a hurdle mark alone and all three – De Rasher Counter, Pobbles Bay and The Two Amigos – have higher marks than their form in that discipline warrants.
The best example of that is The Two Amigos, who was never rated any higher than 110 before going over fences and is now asked to run off 135. He's 142 over fences, but that's because his improvement last season came with some superb jumping of the larger obstacles – until an uncharacteristic fall in the Grand National Trial at Haydock finished him for the campaign.
