Stake Acclaim gets up late to defy big prices in running
Stake Acclaim defied a high of 150 in running on Betfair to land the Shergar Cup Dash at Ascot under a patient Jamie Spencer ride.
The 4-1 joint-favourite made relentless late headway to lead inside the final strides and deny Sir Robert Cheval, who had been matched at a low of 1.05.
Glenys The Menace swooped late to land the Shergar Cup Classic under Anthony Delpech after trading at a high of 130.
