The top sprinters are all much of a muchness when Meccas Angel and Limato are not around and it may be worth chancing one at a big price in the Group 2 Derrinstown Stud Flying Five Stakes (3.10).

The suggestion is In Salutem, which might sound daft considering he is only rated 104, but there are valid reasons for thinking he can take the jump from handicaps to Group company in his stride.

He was beaten last week at Navan in a race he probably should have won but they crawled for the first few furlongs, certainly in sprinting terms, and he was a shade keen. He finished out his race quite well but The Happy Prince had got first run and he was unable to reel him in.
