Zara’s Universe should go well off bottom weight in the mares’ novice handicap hurdle (2.45), with the return to Southwell and drying ground big plus points. Oliver Sherwood’s Jersey Lady might prove a danger off a career-low mark on her first start since undergoing wind surgery.

Boombawn stands out on form in the 2m novice hurdle (3.20) having chased the likes of Supreme runner-up Jonbon home this season, while Large Action, who fell at Catterick’s final flight when in front last time, and William Cody look the pair to focus on in the 2m4½f handicap hurdle (3.55).
