Soft ground can help well-treated miler return to winning ways

Oloroso has dropped to a handy mark having been well beaten on fast ground the last twice. However, he will get his conditions in the Barry Gould Memorial Handicap at Windsor (4.10) and he can bounce back to his best under Oisin Murphy.

Three starts ago Oloroso was too keen at Salisbury, but he still ran really well to be second in a race full of in-form horses. That was his only start on soft ground and a repeat of that off a 3lb lower mark would make him hard to beat.
