A costly slip-up by at least one layer resulted in £7 being traded at 150 on Jack Hobbs, who was always travelling strongly on his way to running out a ready winner of the Sheema Classic under William Buick.

Deauville Crystal showed her excellent attitude once again when outstaying her rivals in the 2m3f handicap hurdle at Newbury after trading at 44. Nigel Hawke's filly was matched at 100 before getting up close home at Sedgefield last month.
