Slow-starter looks worth opposing at short odds in competitive Group race

Honest Albert
2.20 Newmarket
SP forecast 7-4

Unbeaten in two starts having won on his debut over a mile at Kempton last November and returned with a cosy victory over the reopposing Bayroot in a 1m½f novice event at Nottingham last month. John Gosden's colt looked in trouble and traded at 75 in running before outstaying his rivals but he is 5lb better off with Bayroot and should confirm the form.

Conclusion Plenty to like but stamina looked his strong suit last time and he is down half a furlong on a sharper track. That puts me off.
