Signposts: First-time hood likely to improve Journey Of Life

Journey Of Life (12.30 Newmarket) will run in a first-time hood on his first start since being gelded. Trainer Charlie Appleby has an excellent 38 per cent strike-rate when fitting the aid.

Fergal O’Brien and Paddy Brennan have 33 and 44 per cent strike-rates respectively at Wetherby, and that increases to 75 per cent when they team up. The pair join forces with Poetic Rhythm (1.55).
