Jeremy Noseda has a 33 per cent strike-rate when he fits first-time blinkers, and a 23 per cent record with handicap debutants at Doncaster. The progressive Lady Cosette (1.50) fits both these bills.

When David Simcock and Andrea Atzeni link up at Doncaster they have a 50 per cent record. The pair team up with Another Eclipse (4.40), who has been running consistently well without getting his head in front.
