William Buick has a 22 per cent strike-rate at Ascot and that increases to 50 per cent when he teams up with Charlie Appleby. The pair combine with Glittering Jewel in the 6.40.

Course-and-distance winner Straightothepoint (7.05 Ripon) has a good chance of maintaining his head-to-head record against Explain and Honeysuckle Lil, who have also won over the track and trip.
