Sandown Placepot picks: Tom Collins runs you through his Wednesday perm

Punters are treated to an attractive midweek fixture at Sandown, which kicks off with a trappy 5f handicap (1.50) where the well-handicapped The Daley Express can kickstart your Placepot perm.

Those with form in the following mile novice (2.25) set a low standard. Newcomers Kaatibb and Speycaster, who represent in-form stables, are joined by the beautifully bred Wolsey.

Holiday was set a tough task in a Listed race on his debut and is fancied to hit the frame in the 7f novice (2.55). Wodeton is the most appealing of the newcomers.

The feature Listed Fortune Stakes (3.30) certainly doesn't lack depth, but Sir Busker looks a place banker given his form at higher levels this term. He has 4lb in hand of his nearest rival on ratings.

A return to turf should help Flying West in leg five (4.05), while three-year-old Deep Sigh can't be overlooked off bottom weight.

Ziggy, who last ran in a red-hot race at Goodwood can close out an enticing Placepot in the 1m2f handicap (4.40).
