Salisbury Placepot picks: Tom Segal has three bankers in his perm
The GoingStick suggests the ground is going to be fast at Salisbury and when that's the case it can be an advantage being out front near the far rail.
Banana isn't drawn that well in the opening two-year-old maiden (2.00), should that prove accurate, but she showed a good deal of promise in a decent race at Newmarket on her sole start and can put her experience to good use.
Of the newcomers, it might be worth sticking in Aldbourne as Andrew Balding's juveniles have started the season well.
The following sprint handicap (2.30), is not a strong race but it is a tricky one and course winner Lordsbridge Boy, on his debut for William Knight, and the speedy Trusty Rusty make as much appeal as anything.
There isn't much form to go on in the two divisions of the 7f novice, so it might be best to stick with the two horses that have already won a race.
George Morland doesn't have too much in hand on Lafan in the first of them (3.00), but he showed a good attitude at Kempton, while Serena's Queen (3.30), beat a well regarded horse when getting off the mark on the all-weather in December.
The hardest race to get through might well be the 1m2f handicap (4.00), but This Ones For Fred ran well in a similar race at Nottingham last week and Her Way looked ready for a step up in trip when a beaten favourite recently.
With only five in the final leg (4.30), it is tempting to put more than one in but there are a couple that are easily ruled out and it will be a surprise if Dreamweaver can't finish in the first two.
