Ruwasi can resume on upward curve with Harley back on board

When a horse's winning run comes to an end it's very easy to assume it has either stopped improving and/or the handicapper has caught up with it, but I doubt either is true about Ruwasi, who can get back on track in the £25 Free Bet At 188Bet Handicap (4.30) at Haydock this afternoon.

James Tate's five-year-old was promising two seasons ago and, after missing the whole of the 2015 campaign, resumed his progress with a pair of seconds following by a brace of wins, but disappointed when favourite at the Shergar Cup meeting just under four weeks ago, finding little in the straight.

However, there could be plenty of reasons for that disappointment and it's not hard to find them.
