Colonel Frank looks worth another chance from a better draw 3.10 Goodwood

There was a lot of market confidence behind this Ripon maiden winner when he contested his first nursery at Ayr last month and he went off 9-2 favourite. After travelling strongly – touched 2 in running – he managed only seventh but there is an excuse for that weak finish.

Colonel Frank was drawn highest of all in stall 15 towards the stands' side and it soon became clear that was the unfavoured part of the track.
