Dark Vision

The Silver Hunt Cup, which opens the card on Wednesday, could have a bearing on the main event that goes beyond the obvious. Sir Busker is prominent in the betting and if he can do his bit for his Newcastle form then the horse that should have beaten him that day, Dark Vision, becomes even more interesting for the Hunt Cup itself.
Dark Vision won the Vintage Stakes as a two-year-old but things had not gone to plan since. Dropped in the weights before his run at Newcastle, he now looks as good as ever considering the way that race panned out.
Trapped out on a wing from an early stage, Dark Vision made a rapid move over two furlongs out before he just petered out at the end, allowing Sir Busker to pounce. The third has since come out and won in good style, so there is no reason to fear a 3lb rise. Dark Vision is also drawn next door to front-running stablemate Vale Of Kent, so should get a better trip this time.
