'Punchestown in April has belonged to him' - Justin O'Hanlon's three best bets

Crowds return to the Punchestown festival for the first time since 2019 and they will be greeted by plenty of top quality horses in the three Grade 1 contests on the card, but my first bet comes in the Grade B Killashee Hotel Handicap Hurdle (4.50).

Group 1-winning Flat trainer Michael Halford has yet to saddle a winner at this festival, but he has a very solid chance of doing so with the novice Ardla. He won his bumper at Punchestown and after winning a maiden hurdle at Navan, he was only overhauled late in a novice event at the same venue in January by subsequent Cheltenham Festival winner Banbridge.
